I was always so excited to check out the new track for a new level. I enjoyed the pacing, though and the game's themes throughout.īut by far the main draw to the game is the soundtrack. I watched some Youtube videos to make sure I understand the timelines. Now I made the mistake of not knowing what the story was in the original and the timeline jumps made it very confusing for me. The game is violent as heck (intentional I know) and with the music blasting the headphones - it sucks you in. ![]() The level design encourages your brain to function. It can get frustrating but it doesn't feel unfair. The amazing music, the addicting gameplay of shooting and solving a puzzle while trying to max combos is just incredible. The game I would describe as a drug it really gets into your brain. So I skipped the first and dove in the 2 head first and boy - did I have an absolute blast. I remember the homage in TLOU II and lots of people recommending it.Ī few weeks ago I was checking to see how much it is and to my surprise Hotline Miami 2 was free with PS Plus. So Hotline Miami was always a game I kept hearing wonderful things about. Let me start by saying I've been a retrowave fan for a while and Carpenter Brut is one of my favorite artists. ![]()
